In respect to economic linkages, periodic markets network could be assumed as one of the most important markets. In the sustainable social- economic conditions, this can result in positive and reciprocal functions. This study aims to determine the role of periodic markets network in regional development around Tehran metropolis. In this descriptive-analytical research, 199 sellers and 384 buyers in 49 periodic markets surrounding Tehran Metropolis were studied. To measure the effective factors in the establishment of periodic markets network and regional development, five indicators such as population size, share of urban wholesalers, share of urban and rural street vendors, share of agricultural and non-agricultural products and share of intra-area and regional transportation network were chosen. Results showed that population size and the convergent role of rural and urban street vendors associated with the development of intra-area transportation network were effective in the establishment and sustainability of rural and urban periodic markets network and regional development. It is proposed to note promoting share of direct supply of rural agricultural and non-agricultural products to these markets for rural- urban balanced development. پیوندهای روستایی ـ شهری در قالب شبکه‌های تعاملی منطقه‌ای طی دو دهة اخیر، به‌ویژه در متون جغرافیایی تجزیه‌وتحلیل شده است. در حوزة پیوندهای اقتصادی، می‌توان شبکة بازارهای دوره‌ای را یکی از مهم‌ترین بازارها قلمداد کرد که در شرایط پایدار اجتماعی ـ اقتصادی به عملکرد‌های دوسویه و مثبت منجر می‌شود. هدف اصلی پژوهش حاضر بررسی نقش شبکة بازارهای دوره‌ای در توسعة ناحیه‌ای در پیرامون کلانشهر تهران است. این تحقیق به شیوة توصیفی ـ تحلیلی با شرکت 199 غرفه‌دار و 384 خریدار در 49 بازار دوره‌ای پیرامون کلانشهر تهران انجام گرفت. برای سنجش عوامل مؤثر بر شکل‌پذیری شبکة بازارهای دوره‌ای، پنج شاخص اندازة جمعیت، سهم عمده‌فروشان شهری، سهم فروشندگان دوره‌گرد شهری و روستایی، سهم محصولات کشاورزی و غیرکشاورزی و سهم شبکة حمل‌ونقل درون‌ناحیه‌ای انتخاب شد. نتایج نشان داد اندازة جمعیت و ایفای نقش همگرای فروشندگان دوره‌گرد شهری و روستایی در ارتباط با گسترش شبکة حمل‌ونقل درون‌ناحیه‌ای در برپایی و دوام شبکة بازارهای دوره‌ای روستایی ـ شهری و توسعة ناحیه‌ای اثرگذار است. توجه به ارتقای شاخص‌های سهم عرضة مستقیم محصولات کشاورزی و غیرکشاورزی روستایی به این بازارها به منظور توسعة متوازن روستایی ـ شهری پیشنهاد می‌شود.   https://jtcp.ut.ac.ir/article_53202_7c8a1617c1c1c421478426de412ae32d.pdf
